Avoid Homeowner Nightmares:
Infrared Technolgy allows me to see much more!
Infrared Thermal Imaging
With Thermal Imaging Technology, I am able to
help protect you against hidden problems and/or
damages, whether you are a home buyer, seller or
homeowner  looking to make your home as
efficient as possible.

I am able to provide you with a more thorough
home inspection when buying or selling your
home. I am also able to save you money by
accurately identifying the source(s) of any
underlying issues (eliminating any destructive work
to find the source), and determine any areas that
could be more energy efficient within your home.

Isn't your Home
worth the whole Picture

Bell Inspection Service provides a Basic Thermal Scan of the homes
interior and exterior w
ith every Home Inspection.

The Basic Thermal Scan also includes the mechanical, electrical and
plumbing systems of the home.
Seeing Beyond the Human Eye
Thermal Imaging can help indentify issues that may not be detected
without an Infrared Camera, such as;

  • Mechanical and Plumbing Defects
  • Missing or Indaquate Insulation
  • Moisture Intrusion
  • Air Infiltration "Energy Savings"
  • Electrical Issues or Hot Spots
  • Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System Defects
The images below are from actual inspections.
With side by side images you can see what the Infrared Camera
captures, compared to what we can see with the naked eye.
You might be surprised to know what's inside the walls of your home.
The images show a heat "signature" created by a water-heater
exhaust vent that travels from the garage and up through the
second-floor walls. This is very common in modern construction.
The thermal image shows a leaking duct system. The cold air is
leaking into the wall cavity (as shown by the dark spots) in a newly
constructed home. Leaking ducts reduce the efficiency of your
heating and cooling systems. Reduced efficiency equates to higher
energy bills.
An electrical panel where some of the breakers and conductors are
beginning to build up heat. Although some heat differences are
expected, in extreme cases, over-heated components can quickly
become a fire hazard. Thermal imaging can help identify problem
areas so that corrections can be made before they become a
"hazardous condition."
It can be difficult to navigate a dark attic space with a flashlight, and
even more difficult to find damage to the ducts. The thermal-cam is
not dependant on visible light sources and can easily detect small
holes or leaks in duct work.
